The White Coat Ceremony, organized by the Trakya University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department and the Health Research and Application Center Nursing Services Directorate as part of Nursing Week, was held at the Balkan Congress Center. The ceremony was attended by Faculty of Health Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Özgül Erol, Head of the Nursing Department Prof. Dr. Hatice Kahyaoğlu Süt, academicians, students, and their families.
The program began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem. Subsequently, Semanur Kaynak, the top-ranking student in the Nursing Department, Head of the Nursing Department Prof. Dr. Hatice Kahyaoğlu Süt, and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Özgül Erol gave speeches on the meaning and significance of the day.
Following the opening speeches, the students were presented with their certificates. After a short break following the ceremony, the workshop program began in the foyer area of the Balkan Congress Center. A total of eight tables were set up at the workshop, covering the fields of nursing principles, internal medicine nursing, surgical diseases nursing, child health and diseases nursing, women's health and diseases nursing, mental health and diseases nursing, public health nursing, and nursing education.
At these tables, the topics of empowerment in nursing, evidence-based care practices in internal medicine nursing, innovative care in surgical nursing, current and technological approaches in pediatric nursing, technological innovations in women's health nursing, burnout and prevention strategies in nursing, the role of nursing in disaster management and combating climate change, and nursing education and technology were discussed.
