Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer and our University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Hatipler paid a visit to the Department of Mechanical Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering. Sezer and Hatipler observed and examined Pehlivan, an electric vehicle designed and almost entirely hand-produced by the students in the department's workshop. They received information from the students and faculty members about their work.
Following this meeting, which was also attended by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. A. Muzaffer Demir, our Secretary-General İlyas İpek, and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Güleç, Governor Yunus Sezer and our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Hatipler toured the other workshops of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. After learning about the various designs the students were working on, they pledged their full support for technological innovations and studies that will benefit society.
