The administration of Trakya University had a series of contacts in the Albanian capital, Tirana. Trakya University paid a visit to Albania's capital Tirana for "Turkey-Albania Joint Research Center" with a committee including Trakya University Rector Dr. Erhan Tabakoğlu, were also Trakya University International Relations Advisor Prof. Dr. Hilmi İbar and the Director of International Relations Application and Research Center, Assoc. In addition to the delegation of the Trakya University, the Rector of the University of Tirana Prof. Dr. Mynyr Koni and Tirana Ambassador Murat Ahmet Yörük, YTB President Abdullah Eren, the Director of the Tirana Yunus Emre Institute Ömer Osman Demirbaş also attended the meeting where a bilateral cooperation protocol was signed between Tirana University and Trakya University. After the visit of Elbasan “Aleksander Xhuvani”, the delegation met the leaders of ALSAR Foundation, Mehdi Gurra, and other leaders from Balkan countries, such as leaders from North Macedonia.
