THE 5TH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON SOCIAL SCIENCES

The 5th International Congress on Social Sciences, where the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey Prof.Dr. Mustafa Şentop was the Honorary President, with the hosting and organizing of the International Balkan University with Trakya University, Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University, Marmara University and Turkish Studies Journal, took place on 27-30 June 2019 in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.

In the congress held under the auspices of the Presidency of Grand National Assembly of Turkey, where the opening speech was made by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Prof. Dr.Mustafa Şentop and Rector of International Balkan University Dr. Mehmet Dursun Erdem, in the name of Trakya University, attended the Rector of Trakya University Prof.Dr. Erhan Tabakoglu, the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Melihat Tüzün, Director of Foreign Relations Application and Research Center Assoc. Dr. Murat Türkyılmaz, Director of Balkan Research Institute Lecturer Bülent Akyay, Lecturer Kıvanç Ada and more than 15 academicians. Republic of Turkey’s Skopje Ambassador Tülin Erkal Kara, Minister of Culture of North Macedonia Hüsni İsmaili, Minister of Public Administration of Kosovo Mahir Yağcılar, Deputy Chairman of the TRNC Parliament Zorlu Töre, International Balkan University Board of Trustees Chairman Aydoğan Ademoski, Parliamentary Members of Turkish Parliament, Macedonian Constitutional Court Member Salih Murat, rectors, mayors and many academics were among the participants of the congress.

 

More than 15 academicians representing Trakya University participated in the congress with nearly 30 papers and presentations. Nearly 500 papers were presented from 13 countries and 93 universities, and made important contributions to the scientific world.

 

By visiting the high arts of deep spiritual and cultural values of North Macedonia bearing the traces of our civilization, participants within the congress, showed the whole world that the friendship of Turkey and North Macedonia is exemplary in the World.
