The new buildings of Faculty of Dentistry, which also houses practice units of the Faculty of Pharmacy, was opened by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şentop. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sentop examined the Faculty of Pharmacy, where he also met the students of the faculty.

After his speech, the Rector of Trakya University, Dr. Erhan Tabakoğlu thanked the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şentop for their participation. Prof. Dr. Erhan Tabakoğlu also stated that the opening of the Faculty of Pharmacy will contribute to the public health and the education of the pharmacists providing sufficient knowledge and skills and. He thanked all those who supported the opening of the faculty.

After joining the opening ceremonies in the Balkan Campus, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Dr. Mustafa Şentop, went to Edirne Governorship. After his visit to the Governor's Office and his contacts, he met the members of the Non-Governmental Organization working in Edirne. Dr. Mustafa Şentop, then, participated in the opening of the ’Şerbet-i Fünun Project - Sherbet House at the Trakya University Karağaç Campus which was supported of the Trakya Development Agency.

The Faculty of Pharmacy, which was opened at the Trakya University Balkan Campus, was built on an area of 16,500 m2 on the land of Trakya University. The faculty consists of 29 laboratories, 7 amphitheater, 11 classrooms and dedicated rooms for faculty and administrative staff. Completed within the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Trakya University, the practice units of Faculty of Dentistry were opened in the 700 m2 area with the 28 units of Dental Chair, Sterilization Center, Panoramic and Periapical X-ray equipment.
