Within INTERREG-IPA Bulgaria-Turkey Cross Border Cooperation Program, supported by the European Union, “Save the Nature to Save the Future” project prepared by Trakya University was approved by the Joint Monitoring Committee and won a grant of 266,195 Euros. Meric Chamber of Agriculture applied to the INTERREG-IPA Bulgaria-Turkey Cross Border Cooperation Program, 2014-2010 for the project, and Trakya University Faculty Member and International Relations Research and Application Center Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Türkyılmaz took on the executive and coordination of the project on behalf of the chamber. The project was selected among 130 proposals and is one of the 42 approved projects with the total budget of 12,839,665,78 Euros, 26 of which were in the field of "Environment", and 16 of which were in the field of "sustainable tourism". It aims at improvement of the capacity for the conservation, green infrastructure, nature protection, sustainable use and the management of common natural resources through cooperation initiatives in the cross-border region and protection of the environment by recycling. Turkish and Bulgarian delegations gathered at Trakya University International Relations Application and Research Center to conduct the project and to determine the project schedule clearly.
OUR UNIVERSITY IS HOSTING ANOTHER IMPORTANT CONFERENCE
The 6th International AGBIOL Conference has begun. The opening ceremony of the International Conference on Agriculture, Biology, and Life Sciences (AGBIOL), organized in cooperation with Trakya University and the International Researchers Association, was held with great participation.
