Trakya University continues to host important guests, under the presidency of Director of Trakya University School of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Sadi Uzunoğlu. The chairman of the board of Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry Recep Zıpkınkurt, Uzunköprü School of Applied Sciences Director, Lecturer Enver Erdinç Dinçsoy, members of the chamber and citizens in Edirne were also present. Director of the School of Applied Sciences of Trakya University, who made the opening speech and also moderated the meeting, Prof. Dr. Sadi Uzunoğlu, stated that the economy of the world is going through a complex process because of Brexit and Chinese-American economic war, and added that they gathered to look into how it will affect the developments in Turkey's economy. He stated that the society without knowing what and how will be the exit process from the European Union, like Brexit and the results of the policies implemented by the Trump’s administration have caused new problems by striking a big blow to the globalists. While Turkey’s one of the most reputed Economic news presenter Açıl Sezen said “The United States is now turning its eye and direction into the Asia-Pacific region, and the European Union has had to deal with its own problems in the last 10 years. Europe is actually divided into two: Germany with a strong economic structure in the north, Spain, Italy and Portugal in the south will always have problems. Europe needs a politically strong leadership to get out of this situation”. The Coordinator of Bloomberg HT Television Economy Coordinator, Gökhan Şen, stated that the world has a blockage in capitalism due to high debt stock and high living standards at the point reached, the growth figures, falling productivity and the lowest interest rates in the world history are the biggest markers of this world. This problem with economic center is spreading to Asia-Pacific countries, especially China, because these countries have to sell their products to other countries with high annual income.
